Postcard #5

When I wrote (during Covid-19) the book “Manage Yourself, Before Others Do!”, I was mostly thinking of people, like the one on the photo, who are thrown into a previously unknown situation of self-responsibility on how to organise and to prioritise their daily work on their own.

Nowadays (and this is maybe a positive consequence of the Covid-Pandemic), people have experienced the great possibilities of freedom and self-determination that working from home and remote teams offer. The main challenge today is on leadership: how to lead a remote team and still ensure team-spirit, good feedback-culture and creative sessions.

Still, the method with the seven steps from the book has a great value not only for self-management, but has among other applications proven useful to systematically follow up on any kind of project. In addition I often use the approach successfully for coaching-sessions on personal development:

Define QUALITY – choose your TIME – say “yes”, say “no” and FOCUS – create CREATIVITY – take a DECISION – make the CHANGE – keep the BALANCE
