„Misunderstandings are the most common form of communication“
Since I understood that misunderstandings are the rule and not the exception, I am more relaxed, when I detect a misunderstanding. People have different point of views. People have all their own biases. People have a hard time listening to each other. These are the three main route causes for misunderstandings.
Don’t blame anybody if a misunderstanding happens: Not yourselves and not others.
Explaining the same thing two, three, four times is no issue. The issue is to find common grounds, where we really start to understand each other.
And by the way: Some people try to take the shortcut by asking: Have you understood?
It’s the wrong question. The answer is likely to be “yes”, even if the other person has not understood 😉
